Hello there! I have compiled a list of hair care products recommended and used by my stylist who has 15+ years of experience AND owns her very own salon. If you are like me, you have a really hard time spending all that money to get your hair done at the salon every few months. It is not cheap! So, I finally found the courage to ask her exactly what she uses in my hair to leave it so silky, smooth, and beautiful when I leave. I love her but I only need to see her about once a year now that I use these products! For reference, I have long, thick hair and I almost always get a balayage when I’m at the salon. Here are the products my stylist uses with me. I hope you will find them as wonderful as I do!
Shampoo & Conditioner
Pureology Hydrate Sheer Nourishing Shampoo – The price of this shampoo is on the high side but trust me, it is worth every penny! The largest bottle is only $2.66 per fluid ounce and it lasted longer than a year for me (and I have a lot of hair). I typically wash my hair every other day using this nourishing shampoo as it is great for color-treated hair.
Pureology Hydrate Moisturizing Conditioner – This conditioner is the same price as the shampoo but I didn’t need a big bottle because I only condition my hair once a week. The shampoo is so conditioning and smoothing that you shouldn’t need to condition very often.
Hair Treatment Products
Pureology Color Fanatic Leave-in Conditioner – Once I’m out of the shower, I spray this from root to tip and brush through with a L’ANGE wide, curved, and vented hair brush. On days that I don’t really feel up to doing my hair, I just leave this in and let it do its magic. It makes my hair so soft, smooth, and silky. On days that I want to blow dry and curl my hair, I use this leave-in conditioner first and then add in the next product.
Olaplex No. 9 Bond Protector Nourishing Serum – This product is an ALL IN ONE. It’s a heat protectant, it softens, nourishes, reduces tangle and is for all hair types. I put about a nickel size amount in my palm and then run it through my wet hair before I blow dry.
Moroccanoil Treatment – This oil is a miracle worker. It is infused with antioxidant-rich argon oil and helps reduce frizz, flyaways, and in my opinion reduces the look of split ends. This oil gives my ends a few more months before needing to head back to the salon for a cut. I put about a dime size amount in my hand and then just work it through my ends to keep my hair looking fresh.
