First off, congratulations on your pregnancy mama! It can be so overwhelming when you are expecting your first little bundle of joy. In this post I will share the 6 products that I found most valuable to me during my first pregnancy.
The best book: I like to be as informed as possible, especially when it comes to something as important as having a baby. The very first item I purchased when I found out I was pregnant was the book, What to Expect When You’re Expecting by Heidi Murkoff. In the book, Heidi covers everything from when to take a pregnancy test, what is safe to eat, what will happen to your body, and so much more! The best part is that she writes what to expect month by month so you can read it as your pregnancy progresses!
The best product for nausea: I was very fortunate because I had minimal nausea during my pregnancy but when I did have a hard time, I tried these sea bands. They actually really worked and helped me get through those first trimester days.
The best pillow: This maternity pillow works wonders. I have a chronic back injury and this pillow truly helped support my back and hips to help me sleep better at night. I was worried about it being clunky and having a hard time moving around but it ended up being a great support!
The best belly cream: This belly cream was an absolute lifesaver. I know stretch marks are largely genetic but I used this cream diligently throughout my pregnancy and didn’t get ANY stretch marks. Woohoo!
The best belly band: I truly did not want to have to go out and buy a ton of maternity clothes so fortunately I came across this genus belly band that can be worn over any pants or shorts and make it seem like it’s maternity made! If you are like me and don’t want to spend a bunch of money on maternity pants then this band is for you!
The best belly band for back support: As I stated earlier, I have a chronic back injury and I was very worried about how my pregnancy was going to affect my back. I shared this information with my nurse and doctor at my first prenatal visit and my nurse actually recommended this supportive belly band. I am SO thankful she did because it worked wonders for me. I could not have gotten through those last couple of months without it. It’s super simple to put on and take off and very unnoticeable.
